Clinic Guidelines & Procedures: COVID-19
Updated April 2023
Your health and safety are our highest priority, and we would like to inform you of clinic procedures that are in place to help mitigate the spread of the virus. We have outlined our best practices to help you feel at ease in seeking the care you need. These procedures are new additions to a pre-existing comprehensive infection control plan. These new procedures are in compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health and will remain in effect until the end of the state of emergency or public health emergency, whichever is later.
We are beyond grateful for your continued support and patience during this challenging time.

Patient Screening
24-Hours Prior to Appointment
Patients with an appointment scheduled will be contacted by our office and asked preliminary questions to determine your current health status. Your health status will determine whether the appointment will remain as scheduled, or if rescheduling is more appropriate.
Check-in
Please avoid arriving early, as you will be seen promptly at your scheduled appointment time. The waiting area will not be in use during this time.
Upon arrival, we will identify if any changes have occurred since our 24-hr pre-screening communication. Patients who are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 may not be treated on-site.
We will confirm that you have the required face covering. If you do not, one will be provided for you.
Please be advised:

Please be advised:
- Face mask/covering required for all patients and staff. (current as of April 2023)
- Patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, or are showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, may not be treated on-site.
Social Distancing
To maintain social distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC, we are limiting in-office occupants to only one practitioner and one patient at a given time. Our waiting area will not be in use during this time, and patients will only be permitted in the clinic at their scheduled appointment time.
Please maintain at least 6' distance from others.
Companions accompanying patients will not be permitted to enter the clinic unless medically necessary to assist with mobility or communication, or if the patient is a minor. Companions are required to undergo the same screening as the patient and to wear, at a minimum, a cloth face covering, except where doing so would inhibit the individual’s health.
Contactless patient registration, scheduling, and payment options will be made available.

Hygiene
We ask that you wash your hands upon entering the clinic. Hand sanitizer will be placed in the clinic for immediate use. You may also choose to wash your hands in the restroom.
Surface Decontamination
As previously practiced, we will continue to disinfect all high contact surfaces before and after your visit. We will continue to maintain a regularly scheduled infection control plan.
We have added cleaning protocols that are in compliance with the state of New Jersey and the CCAOM CNT, which is the nationally recognized standard of best practices in acupuncture safety.
